The Metropolitan Museum of Art will never disappoint. It's one of the best places in NYC to visit in any weather. Perfect in the rain or in the middle of the summer. Until Sept 5th, 2022, there is a beautiful fashion exhibit called The Anthology of Fashion.
The average time spent at The Met is 2 hours, and most of it is spent walking the great halls. Afterward, you'll need somewhere to refuel. The restaurants near The Met can be expensive, but we know some GREAT places to eat that won't break your budget. There is a steak house with down-to-earth prices, or if you're avoiding meat, there is a fantastic vegan restaurant on the opposite side of the park. Going to the vegan restaurant gives you a great excuse to walk through and enjoy the park on a sunny day!
