Ok ... on to the list ...

1. Scarr's Pizza

Our out-of-town guests love Scarr's because it feels like the model of a neighborhood joint. The wood-paneled interior, counter seating, and neon beer sign give it that vibe back in the day, but it's the pizza that makes Scarr's one of our favorite pizza places. Their dough is made fresh, making its flavorful and light crust unique to them.

2. Rubirosa

Rubirosa is pizza royalty in New York. The man behind the magic is the son of Staten Island institution Joe & Pat's, so a familial pride runs through all of their pizzas, especially his namesake pie. The Rubirosa Supreme pie is a salty-sweet medley of spicy pepperoni, diced basil, and mini meatballs on a crust that's firm enough to hold the weight but soft enough to fold like a typical New York slice.

3. John's of Bleecker Street

Founded in 1929 John's of Bleeker is one of the first established pizza joints in NYC, and makes for a great story. That's one of the reasons we love taking out-of-town friends. The other reason is for the pizza. They make pies with a coal-fired brick oven method, making the pizza crust firm and the top soft. There are no slices at John's of Bleeker, only whole pies, so bring friends and empty bellies.

4. Vezzo NYC Thin Crust Pizza

In a city known for its exceptional pizza, Vezzo stands out as a must-visit spot for pizza lovers. Their gourmet pizzas feature unique house toppings that are sure to satisfy your taste buds.
