Coney Island

Summertime is the best time to visit Coney Island, Brooklyn. One hour from Manhattan and so much to do and see on summer days. Enjoy the rides at Luna Park, including The Cyclone, which has been around since 1927, or take your pick from all the different food options like Nathan's Original Hot Dogs or John's Pizzeria. If rides are not your thing, you can take in a minor league baseball game, check out the mermaid parade or watch a hot dog eating contest that takes place each summer. Plus, the New York Aquarium is nearby, so there's guaranteed fun for all ages.
